Jackson-Feild Behavioral Health Services (JFBHS), a behavioral health not-for-profit psychiatric residential treatment center serving adolescent children with mental health disorders seeks a skilled and motivated Assistant Director of Advancement to work out of the Richmond, Virginia office to raise awareness and private philanthropic funds in order to fulfill the mission of the organization and serve its children.
This position plays a key role in identifying prospective donors, obtaining annual gifts, managing online fundraising efforts, coordinating special events, and managing the web page. The Assistant Director of Advancement also conducts presentations describing the mission, vision and needs of JFBHS to civic, service and religious organizations. This position is responsible, in concert with the development team, to grow JFBHS’s annual unrestricted and restricted revenue by conducting and coordinating specialized and ongoing appeals and special events to raise funds and cultivate relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Qualified applicants must possess experience and expertise in creating online fundraising and marketing campaigns utilizing various social media and web platforms. Knowledge in creating and managing back-end social media and web page content is required to succeed in this position. Qualified applicants must be motivated self-starters, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have a working knowledge of fundraising database programs such as Raisers Edge or Abila, and be able to socially engage donors to build lasting relationships.
A Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, information technology, fundraising, non-profit management, or related field is required. Prior experience developing and implementing digital fundraising and engagement campaigns in a not-for-profit setting is preferred. Knowledge of CSS and HTML, with hands-on experience in content management systems required.

Jackson-Feild Behavioral Health Services, a trauma-informed psychiatric residential treatment Facility located in Jarratt, Virginia, seeks positive role models to work directly with children and young adults ages 11 to 21. The Residential Counselor is responsible for role-modeling healthy behavior and teaching life skills while implementing trauma-informed treatment practices. This is a full-time position.
Qualified applicants must possess the availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Flexibility is a must. A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or other Human Services field is preferred, a High School Diploma/GED is required. Starting pay ranges from $15.00/hr. to $17.00/hr. depending upon experience and credentials. $1.00/hr. Shift Differential is paid for week-day evening shift. $1.50/hr. Shift Differential is paid for first and second shifts on Saturday and Sunday. JFBHS also pays time and a half overtime for any hours worked over forty in a workweek.
A $1,000.00 Retention Bonus is paid after 12 months of full-time employment.
