Human Resources Assistant/Office Manager

Jackson-Feild Behavioral Health Services, a trauma-informed psychiatric residential treatment center for youth, seeks a HR Assistant/Office Manager. The HR Assistant/Office Manager provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources, manages an eight line telephone switchboard, and processes all in-coming and out-going mail. The HR Assistant/Office Manager administers COBRA and FMLA benefits. This position manages the HRIS inclusive of all personnel databases and spreadsheets and generates reports from the HRIS as required by the HR Director. This position also conducts criminal background screenings and assists with the onboarding of new hires. The position ensures that all personnel files are in compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies. The HR Assistant/Office Manager also serves as the receptionist for the organization which includes answering and directing calls, greeting and assisting visitors, and maintaining the first floor of the administration building in a clean orderly fashion including preparing refreshments for visitors and clients. A significant amount of time will be spent manually filing information in personnel files and entering data into the HRIS. Accuracy and maintaining confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

A high school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Two years’ experience as an administrative assistant preferred. The completion of formal college coursework in Microsoft Office software applications is preferred. Qualified candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and HR database applications including the ability to create custom reports, graphs, PowerPoint presentations and export data into excel for manipulation.
